Lab Testing & Diagnostics
Can all the tests I need be done through The Lamkin Clinic?
Most testing can be ordered through the clinic. Some is performed at conventional laboratories and others through specialty partners. Dr. Lamkin determines which tests are clinically indicated and reviews testing options, instructions, and costs with each patient before any labs are ordered. Some tests use at-home kit collection. Effective care can begin without all testing in place.
What specialty labs does The Lamkin Clinic work with?
The Lamkin Clinic works with 24 specialty laboratory partners including Genova Diagnostics, DUTCH Test, Cyrex Labs, IGeneX, Galleri cancer screening, LabCorp, Quest, and others. See the full list on our Specialty Lab Services page.
Your Appointment
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Bring all current medications and supplements in their original containers, prior lab results and medical records (send ahead if possible), specialist reports or imaging, and a list of current symptoms and health goals. A thorough review of your history allows Dr. Lamkin to make the most of your consultation time.
Can The Lamkin Clinic help with chronic conditions?
Yes. Dr. Lamkin has successfully evaluated and treated patients with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, autoimmune disease, inflammatory disorders, cognitive decline, hormonal imbalances, Biotoxin Illness and CIRS, thyroid dysfunction, diabetes and insulin resistance, and many other chronic complex conditions. If you have been told your labs are normal despite feeling unwell, functional medicine testing may reveal what has been missed.
I already work with a nutritionist. Do I need to see one at the clinic?
We recommend that patients work with Deb Lamkin, RD/LD, CDE as part of their care plan. The medical nutrition therapy practiced at The Lamkin Clinic is tailored specifically to your lab results and clinical diagnosis, making it meaningfully different from general nutrition counseling.
